The township takes up 13.42km2 of rugged land in the northern slopes of the Prades and La Serra mountain ranges, which make the dividing line between the Montsant and the Set rivers. The town is 623 meters above sea level, set on the left slope of the valley, over the ruins of the old castle. |

The area is mostly scattered by thickets, pasture-lands and woods. The agriculture only takes a 26% of the land, it is divided into vineyards, cereal, olive groves, hazelnut trees and almond orchads. Also, 9 hectares of irrigated land are dedicated to the potato growing. The scarce population has increased in the last few years, because many people has chosen the town as their holidays residence. |
